Exploring the Dashboard: Products Tab

The Products Tab in BakeSmart is your main hub for managing your product catalog day-to-day. Unlike the Settings > Products menu, which controls company-wide product settings like Seasons and Departments, the Products Tab focuses on the tasks you and your team handle every day—like adding, editing, and updating your product offerings.

What Can Be Accessed

From the Products Tab on the Dashboard, you can:

  • Add new products
  • Edit product names, images, prices, and availability
  • Update product details like descriptions, categories, and assigned Departments
  • Maintain a clear, up-to-date product catalog for both your POS and online store

💡 This is the area where your team will spend most of their time managing your products!


Navigating to the Products Tab

  1. From the Dashboard, locate the Products tab at the top of your screen.
  2. Click on the Products tab to open the Products Dashboard.

By default, the Product Gallery view will load—this shows your products visually in a card-based layout with images and key details.


Product Dashboard Views

The Products Dashboard has three distinct views, accessible via tabs on the left side of the screen:

  • Product Gallery – The default view, displaying products visually in cards with images, prices, and availability.
  • Product List – A searchable, sortable list of all products, organized alphabetically and ideal for quick edits and updates.
  • Product Types – A category-based view that organizes products by type and assigned categories—perfect for reviewing product groupings and managing categories.

💡 Each view has unique strengths—switch between them as needed to make updates or review your catalog from different perspectives.
