How to Configure Fulfillment Options for a Location in BakeSmart
When to Use This:
- You’re setting up a new location
- You want to turn on or off specific fulfillment options
- You need to adjust Pickup or Delivery hours independently of store hours
Start Here: Accessing the Fulfillment Settings
- From the Dashboard, click Settings at the top of the screen.
- The Settings Menu will default to the Locations List.
- Click the name of the location you want to configure.
- In the Location Details Menu, go to the Fulfillment tab.
Step-by-Step Instructions: Enable and Set Fulfillment Methods
In the Fulfillment tab, you’ll see three checkboxes:
- Pickup
- Delivery
- Shipping
Check the box next to each fulfillment method you want to offer at this location.
For Pickup and Delivery, define the availability windows:
- Choose Default Store Hours to match the location’s open and close times
- Or choose Custom Hours to fine-tune when each option is available
Shipping does not require hours and does not support scheduling—BakeSmart assumes fulfillment is handled in-house and shipped as soon as possible.
💡 BakeSmart does not integrate with third-party shipping or delivery services. It is expected that your team manages fulfillment internally.
When finished, click Save at the bottom of the screen.
💡 Clicking Save returns you to the Locations List. To continue editing, click the location name again.
Troubleshooting / FAQs:
Q: Can I change fulfillment hours after setup?
A: Yes. You can return to the Fulfillment tab at any time to update hours or toggle options on or off.
Q: Why can’t I set specific shipping times or dates?
A: Shipping is assumed to happen as soon as possible. BakeSmart does not support scheduled shipping or integrations with external carriers.
Q: Will customers see all fulfillment options?
A: No. Customers only see the methods you’ve enabled for that location.
