Exploring the Product Gallery view in BakeSmart

The Product Gallery View is the default view on the Products Dashboard in BakeSmart. It uses a visual, card-based layout that makes it easy to see your products by category and check that images, names, and prices are accurate and consistent.

What Can Be Accessed

The Product Gallery View helps you:

  • Quickly see product images and details
  • Review how products are grouped by category
  • Locate products in specific categories
  • Add new products directly into your catalog

💡 This view is perfect for visually confirming that your product images, categories, and listings are up to date.

Viewing Products by Category

In each category, five product images are displayed in the card view.

Click View All to see every product in that category.

This opens a Product List for that category, showing:

  • Name
  • Category
  • Department
  • Price

Products in this list are shown alphabetically (numeric values first) and cannot be edited in this view.

Category and Subcategory Organization

Categories with subcategories appear in bold and do not show images.

Subcategories are listed alphabetically under their main category.

Examples:

  • Cookies > Butter, Drop, Sugar
  • Donuts > Cake, Specialty, Yeast Raised

Search Feature

Use the search bar at the top to quickly locate products within the selected category.

Adding Products in Gallery View

There are two ways to add products directly in the Product Gallery View:

  1. Add a New Product from Scratch – Create a brand-new product entry.
  2. Add a New Product Directly to a Category – Create a new product that is automatically assigned to a selected category.

💡 The Product Gallery View is an excellent way to visually ensure your catalog’s images and categories are consistent and accurate.
