If you can think of it, BakeSmart can do it!

How to Create Discounts in BakeSmart

From the Settings Menu, select Discounts.

On the left menu panel you will see Discounts and Groups.

  • Discounts is the default view. Existing discounts are listed alphabetically and numerically.

Click the red “Add Discount” button on the top right.

In the Create a Discount screen:

  1. Enter a Unique Signifier Name (e.g., BOGO 4pm).
  2. (Optional) Add a Shorthand Code for receipts.
  3. Click Add Condition and select rules for when the discount applies (time of day, order total, day of week, etc.).
  • Example: Choose Time of Day, set from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Add a Price Modifier:

  • Example: Percentage Off the least expensive product in the order100% for a free item.

Click Save.

  • Your new discount will appear in the Discounts List.

💡 Pro Tip: You can stack conditions to build more complex rules, like “20% off cakes on Wednesdays for orders over $25.”

Applying Discounts to Groups of Products

The Groups tab (next to Discounts) lets you create sets of products that share a discount rule.

Example: Grouping muffins, cookies, and brownies under a “Day-Old Discount.”

Once a group is created, you can apply a single discount rule across all items in that group.

This saves time and ensures consistency across similar products.
