How to Edit a Location in BakeSmart
What Can Be Edited
You can update any of the following fields for an existing location:
- Contact information (Phone, Address, Email)
- Time zone
- Operating hours (Availability)
- Fulfillment methods (Pickup, Delivery, Shipping)
- Tax settings
- Availability Exceptions (for holidays or events)
- Notification and Reply-To Emails
- Location Name (if needed for clarity)
How to Access Location Settings
Follow these steps to open and edit a location’s settings:
- Go to the Dashboard
- Click the Settings icon in the top navigation bar
- Select Locations from the menu
- Locate the store you want to update and click on its name
This opens the Location Details Menu where you’ll find all available tabs for configuration, including:
- Details
- Taxes
- Availability
- Exceptions
- Fulfillment Options
Make Your Changes
Click into the tab that matches what you want to edit. Make your updates, then click Save when you're finished.
💡 You don’t need to click Save between tabs—just once when all your edits are complete or before you exit the screen.
Tips for Editing Locations
Always double-check you're working in the correct location—especially if you manage multiple stores.
Use clear, customer-friendly names for each store to avoid confusion in eCommerce checkout.
Update Availability Exceptions for any seasonal closures or special events as early as possible.
