Exploring the Settings Menu in BakeSmart

What Can Be Accessed

The Settings Menu is where you manage all the foundational and advanced configurations in BakeSmart. From here, you can:

  • Add and manage store locations
  • Set store hours and availability
  • Configure tax rates and fulfillment options
  • Manage users and roles
  • Set up products, categories, pricing, and discounts
  • Adjust system-wide preferences for POS, eCommerce, and reporting
  • View and update subscription settings

How to Access the Settings Menu

  1. From the Dashboard, click Settings in the top navigation bar
  2. The Settings Menu will open by default to the Locations tab
  3. Use the sidebar or top tabs to access other settings categories

💡 The Settings Menu is only available to users with permission to manage configurations. If you don’t see it, contact your Admin or onboarding specialist.

Make Your Changes or View Info

In the Settings Menu, you’ll see tabs or sections for:

  • Locations – Add, edit, and configure details for each store
  • Availability – Set standard operating hours
  • Taxes – Apply location-based tax rates
  • Fulfillment – Turn on Pickup, Delivery, or Shipping
  • Exceptions – Define special hours for holidays or closures
  • Team – Add users, assign roles, and manage access levels
  • Products – Set up items, pricing, and categories (after initial onboarding steps)
  • Discounts, Payments, and eCommerce – Configure promotions, payment processors, and online store preferences
  • Subscription – View and manage your BakeSmart plan details

💡 Each tab includes Save buttons where needed. You do not need to save between tabs—only when finishing your edits.

Tips for Using the Settings Menu

Work through setup tabs in the order recommended by your onboarding specialist

Don’t jump ahead—some areas (like Products and Payments) are best handled after your initial setup is complete

Admins can return to these settings any time to update hours, users, or store details

Use the Help button in the bottom-left corner for step-by-step articles on each section
