Understanding Standard Products

Lead Paragraph Standard Products are the backbone of your BakeSmart menu. These are standalone items that are baked and sold as-is, with little or no customization. They may still include simple option lists (like size, packaging, or limited flavors), but they do not use templates or collections. The way Standard Products are set up directly affects how products display and organize across the App, POS, and eCommerce.

Working with Standard Products in BakeSmart

Standard Products are managed in the Product Types section of the Products Menu on the Dashboard.

Here, you have access to your Categories and Subcategories, which control how products are grouped and displayed across BakeSmart.

This is also where the Options Lists are maintained. Options Lists allow you to assign simple selections like size, packaging, or flavor to Standard Products.
