How to Edit Tax Settings in BakeSmart

Once your initial tax rates are set up, you may need to make updates to reflect new laws, pricing changes, or category adjustments. BakeSmart makes it easy to modify existing tax settings per location.

How to Edit an Existing Tax Rate

  1. Go to the Settings menu
  2. Select Locations and click on the store you want to update
  3. Open the Taxes tab in the Location Details Menu
  4. Locate the tax you want to update and click into the name or rate field
  5. Make your changes
  6. Click Save when finished

What You Can Edit

You can update:

  • Tax name (to make labels more clear)
  • Tax percentage rate

💡 Any changes made will apply moving forward, including on new orders and customer receipts.

Tips

Use descriptive tax names like “To-Go Tax” or “Retail Sales Tax” for easy identification
