How to find a product

BakeSmart gives you a few different ways to quickly find products, whether you need to edit an item, browse your catalog, or add something to an order. Product search works by product name or category name, so knowing where you're searching and which filters are active will help you find what you need faster.

How to find a product

You can find a product by typing part of its name or part of a category name. This works on the Product List, on the Product Gallery and while you build an order.

Note: Search matches product names and category names only. You can't search by SKU or barcode.

Find a product to edit

Click Products.

The Product List opens.

Type part of the product name or a category name in the search field (it shows Search...).
Click the product to open it.

The words you type can appear anywhere in the name. For example, bagel finds "1 Dozen Bagels". To narrow the list to one category, choose it in the category filter (it shows Filter by category...).

Search from the Product Gallery

Click Products > Product Gallery.
Type part of the product name or a category name in the search field (it shows Search...).
Click a product in the list, or press Enter to see all matches.

The Gallery search covers your whole catalog, not only the category you're viewing.

Find a product while building an order

In the order, type part of the product name or a category name in the search field (it shows Search Products).
Click the product.

This search only shows products that can be ordered. The category you've selected and the order's location still apply, so choose a different category if a product doesn't appear.
